Soul Work

Soul Work

Anything worth something takes work.

Anything that lasts for more than just the moment takes time to build.

Anything that goes deeper than the surface requires an ability to work undercover.

Anything that speaks to God must require faith.

Sometimes a good foundation can hold you up.

Sometimes an alter can fall.

Sometimes it takes fortitude to make it through.

And sometimes redemption comes through the task of believing.

And maybe the process is just as important as the result.

Maybe the best gift is no gift at all.

Maybe in order to deserve something, something has to be given.

Maybe the outcome of being all that you are requires that you be more than you are.

So, if the soul is the most treasured gift we have, then maybe it requires the most work.

If belief is something that takes time to erect, then maybe a spirit is something that has to be constructed.

If eternity is something beyond mortal comprehension, then maybe we should try to extend ourselves.

And if divinity is something to be reached, then maybe we all need to apply a little soul work.
